When it comes to choosing a brand new coffee machine I know that there are a lot of companies to choose from but the two main companies that sit right at the top of the tree are Cuisinart and Keurig. I would like to try with this review to bring anyone who reads it to the stage where they can confidently decide which of these 2 companies suits their needs in a coffee maker best.
The first thing I will do is identify what kind of machine each company makes. Cuisinart make the standard drip coffee maker, while Keurig make a slightly more modern if you like “single serve” coffee maker. The main difference between single servers and drip coffee machines is the way they dispense coffee. Drip machines as you may well know brew a large pot 10 cups (50 oz.) or so and then the coffee is kept warm in a carafe. Single server machines like those made by Keurig brew just 1 cup at a time and do so directly in your cup.
Keurig single servers are not just single servers they also use “pods”. The pod system of coffee brewing is relatively new, but is now well established and Keurig are at the top of the game. If you take a look at their website you can see they have a range of well over 200 different blends of not just coffees but teas and cocoas as well. The main benefit in my opinion of having a single server over a standard drip machine is both that you can brew only what you need as you need it. With a drip machine there is often not the option to brew just one cup, so if you are brewing just for yourself then a single server is definitely the best answer.
Cheers very much for taking the time out to read this short Cuisinart VS Keurig review.
