The kind of detergent used is also important since harsh ones might cause skin irritation.

Stay away from the sun and use sunscreen when going out. Stay away from locations and activities that might cause excessive sweating. If you are allergic to anything then staying away from allergens can also prevent the occurrence of eczema.

Skin Care- Once your skin starts showing the symptoms of eczema the best that you can do is to use good skin care in order to prevent the worsening of the condition. You have to make sure that your skin is properly moisturized and hydrated. You can do this by applying a mild moisturizer on your skin twice a day.

Don’t use lotion to moisturizer the skin since it contains mostly water and that can result in the drying of the skin. You can tell the difference between a lotion and a cream because when you apply cream there is that greasy feeling to it. Petroleum jelly is not recommended since it does not moisturize the skin at all. It can only trap the moisture that is on the skin already when you apply it.

Bathing- Bathing in the proper way can help a lot. Don’t use water that is too hot or too cold since that can aggravate the condition of the skin. When you bathe try to stay in the water until you see that the tips of your fingers are starting to wrinkle. That means that you skin is properly hydrated already.

Eczema can be treated with the right sort of care so it should not limit the way that you live your life.
