Oily Skin– I have an oily skin and I really hated it when I was still in my teens because I believed that the excessive oil in my face is the main reason why I had so many pimples back then. That was a real nightmare and it marred an otherwise a happy youthful period. Years later however I learned that having an oily skin does have its advantages. The main one is that it is not going to lack in natural moisturizers which can help to keep the skin looking fresher and younger. Try looking at your friends; the ones who have oily skin are the ones who look a lot younger than their real age.

How to Take Care of Oily Skin at Home– Through the years that I have to deal with oily skin, I have learned some things that might be able to help you out. To show some of the things that I have learned, here are some ways that you can take care of oily skin just by staying at home.

1. Soap and Water- Staying with the most basic and the most simple things when it comes to skin care is still the best. Make sure that you wash your face twice everyday using water and soap that you know is right for you. I am not going to recommend a soap brand here because it does not work that way. You have got to find the right soap that can work best for you.

2. No Hot Water- Do not use hot water when you are washing your face or taking a shower. A little warmth is okay but to heat it to a higher temperature is not advisable since that can strip away the natural moisturizers.

3. Moisturizers- Yes, it is still advised that people with oily skin use moisturizers but you should stay away from those that have to much oils. Pick the moisturizing products that are oil free.

4. Clay Mask– Make a habit out of using a clay mask once every week. That can help to unclog the pores and take away the dead skin cells that can contribute in the outbreak of acne and pimples.

These are just some of the things that you can do in order to take care of your oily skin.
