Stretching before and after starting weight training will reduce muscle soreness. Note that muscle soreness will keep you away from working out for days or even weeks as some people’s recovery rate are slower than others.

You can also make use of some weights like dumbbells and barbells to increase practical strength. If you’re conscious about how your body looks, then these isolation exercises will do the trick. Body fats are stored energy, and by using weights, you can lose lots of fats. More muscle means you burn more calories as you work. Muscles consume more calories than fats.

Pain is a sign to stop. To prevent possible injuries, whenever you feel pain, give your body a rest. The term “no pain, no gain” is not applicable all the time, especially in weight training as the pain maybe a sign of grave muscle tissue injury.
